Tarek Rizk
Tarek Rizk is a seasoned marketing strategist and leader with decades of experience in branding and message development, digital strategy and media relations. He has led engagements for dozens of clients over his career. He recently helped Modular launch their unified AI compute layer, and supported EvolutionaryScale as it emerged from stealth and unveiled an LLM to help scientists imagine and develop novel proteins. He also oversaw PsiQuantum’s two blockbuster announcements of back-to-back quantum computing facilities in Australia and the US. Tarek partners closely with our clients to develop authentic strategies that amplify their voice with media and find new audiences for their message.
Before joining Crosscut as a Senior Advisor, Tarek spent five years as a senior vice president for client operations at Outcast, a strategic communications firm. There he led the digital and creative teams and oversaw new business development. He helped develop or refresh a range of brands and oversaw engagements with Intuit, Valo Health, AWS, and many more.
As a digital strategy consultant, Tarek has led work with the Stanford Human-centered AI Institute, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Andreessen Horowitz, as well as a range of NGOs and foundations. Prior to his agency and consulting career, Tarek served as a communications leader in the nonprofit sector, leading digital operations at the Aspen Institute, where he built the digital presence of the Aspen Ideas Festival and Aspen Security Forum. A native of Pittsburgh, Tarek is a graduate of the American University in Washington, DC.
