Molly Cohen

With a background in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and media relations, Molly is passionate about making complex information accessible and reaching diverse audiences through innovative communication strategies.

Prior to Crosscut, Molly worked as a media operations associate for Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy, a Pennsylvania-based public relations firm. In this role, Molly consulted clients by monitoring daily news coverage.

Molly also served as president of The Daily Pennsylvanian, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates the University of Pennsylvania’s award-winning student-led news organization. In this role, Molly was the organization’s spokesperson and developed a comprehensive outreach strategy for its first-ever capital campaign. Before being elected president, she was a senior reporter and news editor, leading coverage of leadership crises and campus controversies following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel. 

Molly graduated Summa Cum Laude from Penn with a B.A. in Communication and Political Science and a minor in Survey Research and Data Analytics.
