Emma Haberern
STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Emma is a Strategic Communications Manager with a background in mission-driven storytelling.
Emma develops and implements strategic communication plans that help clients navigate shifting market landscapes and reach their target audiences. She draws on her background in mission-driven storytelling to help organizations effectively tell their stories and maintain a competitive edge.
Prior to joining Crosscut, Emma served as the Senior Communications Coordinator at Resonance, where she worked for six years on projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its partner organizations. In that role, Emma led the communications efforts for innovation competitions that addressed key development challenges related to food security, gender-based violence, health, and a variety of other topics across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Emma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Women & Gender Studies with a minor in Political Communication from the University of Delaware. She also holds a Master of Arts in Media & Public Affairs from the George Washington University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant. She lives in Washington DC with her fluffy black cat named Nox.
