Philip Newland has significant experience in public affairs, crisis communications, media outreach, and message development. At Crosscut, he primarily manages technology and health care clients.

Prior to joining Crosscut Strategies, Phil was an account supervisor at Qorvis MSL, where he provided strategic media, public relations, and crisis communications support for healthcare nonprofits, sovereign governments, international energy and financial companies, and global aerospace manufacturers.

Prior to Qorvis, Phil worked for an international security and intelligence consulting firm managing government relations and digital efforts. Phil also has marketing experience for a large healthcare research, technology, and consulting firm. 

Phil is a graduate of Indiana University with degrees in business, history, and Spanish.
